ABOUT
The Real Estate Beige Book is a quarterly publication built for a single audience: the individuals and families whose decisions shape Florida real estate, capital, and culture.
Each issue pairs sharp market intelligence — economic conditions, key statistics, and the developments defining where Florida's wealthiest households invest and live — with a rotating lifestyle focus: yachting, aviation, automotive, or philanthropy and the arts.
REBB is organized around four pillars in every issue:
-
Market Intelligence — signals shaping Florida's luxury real estate landscape
-
Features & Analysis — long-form reporting on the deals and people defining the market
-
Rankings & Power — who is moving the market, ranked and profiled
-
Society & Culture — the gatherings and causes around Florida's wealthiest households
Delivered quarterly to a distribution list, not a subscriber list — Florida's households are qualified in, not signed up.
LEADERSHIP

Pablo Alvarez
Chairman and Publisher
Pablo is the Chairman and Publisher of The Real Estate Beige Book, which he founded in 2010 — not the easiest year to launch anything, though it turned out to be a fine time to bet on Florida.
Born and raised in Nicaragua, he studied at American University in Washington, D.C. and George Mason University, and began his career at the International Monetary Fund, where he spent years thinking about economies at the macro level before deciding he'd rather watch one up close — trading the Beltway for the Sunshine State, where he's stayed ever since. By most measures, the bet's paying off.

Marta Gonzalez-Pasos
Editor-in-Chief
Marta is the Editor-in-Chief of The Real Estate Beige Book, a role she stepped into after eleven years as the magazine's Chief Operating Officer.
Before that, she spent sixteen years at the Organization of American States and the Inter-American Development Bank — which meant that by the time she got to REBB, she'd already spent a decade and a half getting institutions to agree on things, so editorial meetings were never going to scare her.
Having run the operation from the inside for over a decade, she now runs the pages the same way: with very little patience for anything that doesn't earn its place.

Mariangeles Alvarez
Chief Operating Officer
Mariangeles is the Chief Operating Officer of The Real Estate Beige Book.
She spent five years in the medical field before deciding, shortly after her first daughter was born, that what she really wanted was a fun career running a magazine — we're still not sure where she got that idea.
She's since brought her medical training along for the ride, running the operation the way she'd run a body: every part accountable to every other part, and no patience for anything that isn't pulling its weight.
